Baby pygmy hippopotamus is new star at Fuengirola Zoo
A newly born pygmy hippopotamus is proving the new star at Fuengirola Zoo. It’s good news for conservationists as it is an endangered species, with only some 3,000 in the world.
Now three months old, the baby already weighs 25 kilos.
Mother and son are being kept apart for the first year because if not she is likely to reject the baby and even attack him.
